Industrial Water Filtration Systems – Rapid Deployment for Refineries & Heavy Industry

Clarifiers, DAF Units, Baghouses, and Bulk Treaters — Engineered for Emergency and High-Flow Applications

At Fuel Tank Maintenance (FTM), we provide high-capacity water filtration systems designed for industrial environments where water quality is critical to operations. Whether due to equipment failure, scheduled maintenance, or compliance-driven needs, we deliver rapid-deployment filtration units to keep your facility moving.

Our equipment supports refineries, petrochemical plants, oil & gas production, and other industries with complex water streams, including process water, wastewater, stormwater, and tank washdowns.

💧 Rapid-Response Water Filtration Equipment

Our fleet includes:

  • Clarifiers (cone-bottom and lamella plate designs)

  • DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) systems

  • Baghouse filtration skids

  • Amiad automatic backflushing filtration units

  • Bulk media treaters with carbon, zeolites, and custom blends

Treatment capacities:

  • Clarifiers: 150-800GPM (continuous or batch processing)

  • Baghouse Skids: Up to 4,000 GPM

  • Amiad & Auto-Backflush Units: 250–15,000 GPM

  • Bulk Treaters: Modular flow paths for staged or parallel treatment

All systems are mobilized quickly and can include hoses, valves, pumps, and flow control skids for on-site integration with minimal setup.

⚙ Clarifiers & DAF Systems

Clarifiers

Used to separate solids from water via gravity settling. We offer:

  • Cone-bottom units with sludge collection

  • Inclined plate (lamella) clarifiers for high-rate settling

  • Integrated flocculant/coagulant feed systems

  • Skids with sludge pumps and filter press compatibility

Typical applications:

  • Pre-treatment for filtration

  • Tank bottom water separation

  • Primary solids removal prior to discharge or reuse

Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)

DAF systems are ideal for oil, grease, and fine solids removal:

  • Pressurized air saturates recycled water and forms microbubbles

  • Bubbles bind to contaminants, lifting them to the surface for skimming

  • Especially effective for emulsified oils and chemical-laden water

DAFs are ideal for:

  • API Separator effluent polishing

  • Refinery sumps

  • Waste pits and stormwater processing

  • Compatible with polymers and chemical dosing

🧱 Bulk Media Treaters & Auto-Backflush Systems

Our bulk treaters are versatile, large-diameter pressure vessels designed to treat targeted contaminants using custom-packed filtration media:

Available Medias:

  • Activated Carbon – VOCs, hydrocarbons, solvents, color, odor

  • Zeolite – Ammonia, heavy metals, cations

  • Organoclay – Emulsified oils, surfactants

  • Sand and Gravel – TSS and turbidity

  • Anthracite & Garnet – Depth filtration and polishing

  • Resins – Targeted ion exchange and specialty separations

Units can be:

  • Configured for backflushing

  • Set in series or parallel

  • Operated with inline or external pumps

  • Combined with pre-filtration and chemical conditioning

🧪 Common Industrial Contaminants We Remove

Our systems target a wide variety of suspended, dissolved, and emulsified contaminants commonly found in refinery and heavy industrial water streams, including:

  • Catalyst fines

  • Hydrocarbons (diesel, gasoline, kerosene residues)

  • Grease and oils (free and emulsified)

  • Heavy metals (nickel, vanadium, chromium, lead)

  • Total Suspended Solids (TSS)

  • Chemical oxygen demand (COD)

  • Color and turbidity

  • Residual surfactants, solvents, and process chemicals

Systems are suitable for treating:

  • Cooling tower blowdown

  • Tank and equipment wash water

  • Sump and pit water

  • Rainwater runoff with hydrocarbon contamination

  • Process wastewater from desalting, cracking, and blending units

🧰 Baghouse Filtration Skids

Our baghouse skids are designed for high solids loading and flexible media options:

  • Configured for multi-stage filtration

  • Remove silt, fines, rust, organic debris, and catalyst fines

  • Rated for up to 4,000 GPM

  • Compatible with 1–100 micron filter bags

  • Optional pressure monitoring, automated change alerts, and bypass controls

Perfect for polishing clarifier or DAF effluent, or handling high-dirt-load bypass flows.

🚀 Emergency Deployment for Downtime Recovery

We specialize in emergency water treatment deployments, typically for:

  • Equipment outages

  • Turnarounds and maintenance shutdowns

  • Regulatory excursions

  • Spill response and sump overflows

FTM systems are designed to connect into your process with minimal interruption. Our goal is to solve the water problem — not become it.

🛠 Turnkey Water Filtration Support

  • Rapid mobilization, nationwide

  • Flow metering, pressure monitoring, and real-time support

  • Optional on-site startup and operations crews

  • Customized flow diagrams and system sizing for every job

  • Daily logs and discharge monitoring (upon request)
